Inspired by the Art Deco period, Belmont House features a grand entrance with a two story lobby adorned by a custom hand-painted mural and arched doorways. Using a completely new floorplan to incorporate new programming for our client, Belmont House projects a hotel-like feel that is carried throughout the building.
Experimenting with a new color palette for our traditionally navy blue-inspired client, Belmont House boasts yellows, oranges and greens throughout the clubhouse. There was a lot of area to design and take advantage of void spaces; we did this through the use of interesting light fixtures, the intricate railing on the grand staircase, and ceiling details.
A light, airy feel upon entrance on the first floor then transitions to a moodier color palette with a more masculine feel as you level up to the second floor where you will find a theater, conference room, gaming room, and bar. Our client admires all of the Soho House projects around the world and wanted to bring in a fun, global element. We used that opportunity to recreate the custom vintage rug bar front inspired by the front desk of a Soho House project. We also created standout custom, large-scale u-shaped banquettes to make intimate groupings in various lounge areas.
A project of many firsts, Belmont House mixes classic design with warm colors, textures, and global elements throughout.
