Lake Club sits nestled in the Columbus suburbs, near Alum Creek Lake. When the property’s developer met with our team, they had a clear vision: a clubhouse that would be welcoming and serene
They wanted the clubhouse to reflect their crisp brand identity and wanted their tenants, primarily young professionals and families, to feel completely at home in the space. The clubhouse features floor to ceiling windows, flooding the space with plenty of natural light. The vaulted ceiling adds to the club house’s open and airy feeling, which we further accentuated by selecting large scale, visually interesting light fixtures. In the foyer, we designed a v-groove shiplap wall which we painted a light grey, and applied the club house’s branding vertically, immediately signaling to residents that this space is playful and unexpected. With the help of Oakland Nursery, we created a living greenery installation that gives the space a fresh, bright feeling. In the kitchen, we used penny round tile backsplash and created a custom bar with integrated banding and a heavy waterfall edge bar top that gives the space an elevated residential feel. Throughout the space, we created distinct living areas, each more welcoming and tranquil than the last.
