As part of our 2017 re-branding campaign, we hired an amazing Columbus local mixologist, Christina Basham, to help us create two custom cocktails to serve to clients during meetings. The Crimson Manhattan is a honey-driven twist on the classic, featuring OYO Michelone Reserve Bourbon, OYO Barrel Aged Honey Vanilla Bean Vodka, and sweet vermouth.Tasting notes: Booze forward, sweet yet balanced, complex, round in mouth, hints of oak and baking spices
2 oz OYO Michelone Reserve Bourbon.5 oz OYO Barrel Aged Honey Vanilla Bean Vodka.25 oz Sweet Vermouth (Cocchi Torino)2 dash Angostura BittersMethod: StirredGlassware: Double old fashioned or rocksIce: 2″ cubesGarnish: 1-3 Luxardo Cherries
In mixing glass, combine all spirit and bitters. Add ice and stir for 15-20 seconds. Strain into glass with ice and garnish.
The Crimson Bubbles Cocktail (Still to be Named!)The Crimson Bubbles Cocktail is a celebratory cocktail featuring OYO Stone Fruit Vodka, Pomegranate, Peach, and Brut Prosecco.
Tasting notes: Effervescent, dry, tart yet balanced, fruity, elegant
1 oz OYO Stone Fruit Vodka.25 oz Pomegranate Juice2 dash Fee Bros. Peach BittersFill Brut ProseccoMethod: ShakenGlassware: Coupe or fluteIce: No iceGarnish: 3-5 pomegranate seeds and/or edible flowers
In mixing tin, combine vodka, juice and bitters. Add ice and shake for 10-15 seconds. Strain into coupe, fill with bubbles, and garnish!
