Luxe88 is very much a modern take on 1920’s inspiration; each furnishing, accessory, and piece of art tells a story. The developer wanted to create a resort-like atmosphere that offered residents a place to socialize, but also feel at home. The Japan Marketplace adjacent to Luxe88 was our main inspiration of global influence in this space. Bright pops of red in each area of the clubhouse, from the lobby to the game room, play and contrast with white and gold accents in both furniture and finishes.
In October 2021, Luxe88 won the Merit Award for the Live category at the 2021 Interior Design Awards Event! The panel of judges commented that they appreciated the movement and pops of red throughout the entire space, and that we respected the building’s historical architecture while still adding in new elements that made a big impact.
The luxurious two-story volume in the lobby draws you into the space and incites curiosity to see what is waiting for you on the second floor. The rich wood floor that leads you in adds texture and warmth, while the global-inspired fabrics and patterns in the seating area are inviting and cozy. The red carpet-lined staircase draws the eyes up to four large-scale dramatic chandeliers.
The clubhouse provides a variety of seating groupings and areas of activity. Bold reds create drama and high contrast against the neutrals used in the floors, walls, ceiling, and light fixtures. Wood accents and paneling add richness and sophistication to the space which playful chandeliers allow the space to remain whimsical.
Oozing with comfort between the textural fabrics, high contrast colors, and plush furniture, the theater room invites you in to sink into a sofa and watch movies all day.
A space with beautiful versatility, Luxe88 is a blast from the past that is wonderfully intertwined with modern day trends.
