A “WOW” factor immediately upon entry, the Camden Clubhouse is a grand, 2-story clubhouse that oozes luxury. The unique wallpaper behind the front desk draws you in; you may not even realize there is a hidden door behind the front desk! The space is a variation on our client’s standard preppy and classic feel, with pops of unexpected pattern and design elements. A collaborative, colorful, and playful space for New Albany residents to gather as an extension of their home, Camden Clubhouse is sure to spark anyone’s element of wonder.
Because the lobby has a 2-story volume, the ceilings were challenging to work with as the lobby carries back to the second floor club room. We worked to sync these spaces so there was a natural flow through the clubhouse. As you keep exploring, the space just gets more and more interesting!
The fireplaces wrapped in shelving from floor to ceiling were truly a standout design element. Because the pair of matching fireplaces were placed directly in the center of the clubroom, we were tasked with brainstorming ways to make these fireplaces feel more like pieces of furniture in conjunction with the architectural element. The bookshelves created much needed division in the space, while offering a visually interesting component.
Looking down onto the lobby from the second floor balcony, you feel as if you are staying at a luxurious hotel. What an incredible, colorful space for residents to call “home!”
