- What was the client’s request? Create a bold, bright, fun retail space with bar and lively amenities.
- What was the design vision? Bringing fun pattern, color and life from Havana Cuba, shown through the palms, tassels, vintage inspired pieces.
- What were the design challenges? Combining so many different concepts, programming needs into one space! Between the golf simulator bays, humidor, cigar lounge, bar, pizza counter, it was a challenge to get creative a create a dynamic floor plan that flowed.
- What were the design triumphs? The relationship between the retail space and the bar/restaurant- which had to be gated/locked due to code! In plan, it felt a little awkward but ended up dividing the spaces nicely.
- What is a standout design element? The oversized soffit over the bar with a bold palm wallcovering.
