Our long-term client, Preferred Living, asked us to create a refined social venue, The Whiskey Lounge. Our design goal was to create an experience to transport visitors into another world. As you enter the Whiskey Lounge, you are greeted by a clover-shaped banquette adorned with velvet throw pillows, bright pink accent walls, upholstered doors and a show stopping gallery wall. The lobby is adorned with Pierre Frey lanterns, bespoke lanterns, and a seven-foot brass chandelier. There is a 12-foot sculpture of a woman from the waist down in the front vestibule. The mural behind the front desk is hand painted by a local artist, adding a whimsical flair. The Whiskey Lounge features an upholstered velvet bar front with down lighting. Mill-work with brass details showcasing curated whiskeys is displayed above the bar. A space that comes alive at nighttime, this vivacious space in the heart of the Short North in Downtown Columbus can’t be missed.
