This project was driven by the client’s desire to update their home with a fresh, colorful personality while improving the flow and functionality of the space. The vision blended timeless, traditional detailing with a modern, vibrant flair, highlighted by a moody kitchen designed to contrast the home’s abundant natural light. Opening up the floorplan created a more cohesive connection between rooms, allowing the home to feel both more spacious and more tailored to the client’s lifestyle.
One of the greatest challenges was navigating the building’s strict plumbing and gas line restrictions while still achieving an open, highly functional kitchen layout. Despite these limitations, the design team delivered several triumphs, including preserving the intricate living room ceiling mural and statement wallcoverings within budget. The true showstopper, however, is the primary bathroom—its striking red onyx marble and thoughtful detailing transform it into a luxurious retreat, and a defining element of the home’s refreshed character.
