Materials That Feel Like Home

This is where developers leave the most money on the table. A clubhouse with builder-grade paint, vinyl baseboards, and flat lighting reads as an afterthought no matter how large it is and residents notice. Prospective residents notice even faster. The tragedy is that finishes are almost always the first thing value-engineered out: the wallcovering, the custom millwork, the textured surfaces that make a space feel residential instead of commercial.
