Our long-term client, Preferred Living, asked us to create an unforgettable experience in this space while partnering with local artisans. Located in the heart of the Short North in Columbus, Ohio, Luxe23 has 113 luxury suite apartments with a rooftop terrace and a refined social venue, The Whiskey Lounge. As you travel through the space, you are met with unexpected amenities in the city that provide one-of-a-kind luxury living. Our design goal was to create an experience to transport visitors and tenants into another world. The inspiration started with a Pierre Frey fabric in a colorful Ikat pattern, representing caftans collected at a bazaar. The starting point in the design was using color, custom brass light fixtures, mosaic tiles and custom designed wood cabinetry. Unique art with a Renaissance vibe was graffitied to give a new spin on modern imagery. A 12-foot sculpture of a woman from the waist down was designed by our team and manufactured by a local company. This one-of-a-kind piece is a local landmark that sparks curiosity and makes for memorable Instagram moments. Thought provoking artwork, eye-catching wall coverings, ornate chandeliers, and pink pillars are more elements that make Luxe23 anything but ordinary. Not only are these living spaces bold and beautiful, they are carried throughout the property leaving nothing to be desired and capturing a luxury, boutique feel.
